Designs respond at Qld Caravan and Camping Show as family demand leads drive to holiday in Australia

The family touring holiday is back big time driven by the biggest users of Australian caravan, holiday and tourist parks.
Tight household budgets are recognised in caravans, camper trailers, campervans and tent camping options designed specifically for the family market.
This year the Queensland Caravan, Camping and Touring Holiday Show, Brisbane, which runs until Tuesday 9 June, responds to the Australian holiday reality.
Exhibitors show new family-friendly Recreational Vehicle ranges, innovative bedding, clever designs across the industry, RTO accredited towing and 4WD training, thermo cooking and entertainment.
Caravan, motorhome, fifth wheeler, campervan, camper and camping tent designs make family touring holidays more comfortable and enjoyable.

Caravanning Queensland CEO Ron Chapman said today that families were the biggest users of Australia’s caravan and tourist parks.
"Touring holidays are no longer the domain of just the Grey Nomads, with couples and families also rediscovering the freedom, affordability and fun", he said.
"As families look to make savings, while still treating themselves to a well-earned holiday, touring holidays are ticking all the right boxes. Not only can you discover new destinations, but you are getting the kids away from the couch and being active".
Catering to this growing market are a range of mobile homes that suit Mum, Dad and the kids. It’s not just about what is inside either, but also making better use of the outside with outdoor barbecues and kitchens, and extendable outdoor rooms.
Australians are expected to set out on more than 605,000 touring holidays this year with families making up the biggest proportion.
Caravan design comes with a garden
Today’s caravans are a home away from home, an Australian caravan manufacturer has created what is believed to be the world’s first caravan with a garden.
Kratzmann’s Franklin Caravan showcases a herb garden for those green thumbs who like touring holidays.

The herb garden is contained within an extendable side of the caravan and is designed for caravan cooks who miss their fresh mint, parsley and chives when they hit the road.
Caravanning Queensland CEO Ron Chapman said today the Franklin Caravan was just one of the many innovative displays at the show.
The Franklin Sonic pop-top caravan is a Brisbane Show special during the show only marked down from $45,780 to $43,491.
The Sonic 16 has a tare weight (unladen weight) of 1615kg. Alloy wheels and the new and popular drop down stabiliser jacks and energy efficient LED lights plus two 4.5kg gas bottles are standard in the Sonic.
The Sonic comes with ventian blinds,roll-out pantry, microwave, split-system aircon. CD-radio and speakers,gas-electric 4 burner cooker with grill and a 90litre fridge.
